WNET New York Public Media
February 2007 - November 2017
As a Multimedia Editor/Producer, I managed and helped launch websites, and produced a wide range of digital contents including blog posts, web apps, infographics, audio and video assets for multi-platform distribution to promote PBS national and WNET New York and New Jersey local TV shows.
I also produced and worked on various podcast projects and online exclusive video series. To view my video work, please visit here.
Project Highlights
Secrets of the Dead
Secrets of the Dead is a PBS national TV series. I managed the site for several years as the Web Producer, and produced digital contents such as infographics, articles, web apps, blog posts, video clips and so on to promote the series. These online exclusive contents I produced are still being shared on social media today when episodes re-broadcast.
By collaborating with a small team of a designer, developer, and another producer, I was part of the site redesign project and worked on the UX design and managed the site relaunch and QA testing. After relaunching, the Secrets of the Dead website became the template for all the PBS show websites WNET produces such as Nature, American Masters, and Great Performances.
Examples of the online exclusive contents I produced for this series:
Blog of the Dead - I launched a blog section and wrote weekly archaeological news posts to keep the fans engaged even during the off seasons of the program.
Color Your Own Van Gogh and Share It With the World! - Web application
Map: Archaeological Discoveries at Jamestown - Infographic

In addition to making weekly updates to the NYC-Arts website, I curated NYC’s top five art offerings of the week and wrote a post for the web and weekly newsletter.
